Melissa Hammar is the Deputy Director of the Issuances Staff in the Food Safety and Inspection Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In this position, she leads the development of numerous FSIS policy documents, including regulations, instructions to the field, and guidance to industry. Ms. Hammar holds a BA and MA from Florida State University in Political Science and International Affairs, respectively, and a JD from Nova Southeastern University.
