Mrs. Marinee Flores-Marrero holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico Humacao Campus and a Master’s Degree in Food Science and Technology from University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus. She began his career in 2007 as a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agriculture Specialist at the Miami International Airport. For 9 years she conducted inspections of food commodities at the passenger and cargo level. In 2016, she joined the FDA as a Consumer Safety Officer (CSO) and has conducted inspections in Preventive Controls for Human Food, Dietary Supplements, Dairy products, and Seafood HACCP. Mrs. Flores-Marrero acted as CBP Supervisory and FDA Supervisory CSO in different occasions. She currently works as a CSO for the Office of Human and Animal Food Operations Division 4 East where she has been a mentor/trainer to new domestic and import CSOs.
